An exercise enthusiast, Dr. Bonacini has incorporated her love of movement into her career as a Physical Therapist for over 30 years. Dr. Bonacini began her career in Acute Rehab at Rancho Los Amigos in Los Angeles working with Outpatient Geriatric and Spinal Injury patients. She continued her career as an Outpatient Orthopedic Therapist and as a Supervisor in the Midwest and Southern California. As a UCSF Home Health Care Physical Therapist, Dr. Bonacini traveled to homebound patients to restore their function for 9 years. Currently as the lead Physical Therapist at the Lakeshore location of UCSF Faculty Practice, Dr. Bonacini works with a variety of orthopedic patients with particular interest in the geriatric population. Dr. Bonacini teaches a weekly class specializing in exercise and postural training and assists in UCSF DPT Physical Therapist classes.
Dr. Bonacini’s clinical practice has centered on evidence based treatment for orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and neurological patients. As a duel Orthopedic and Geriatric Clinical Specialist, Dr. Bonacini has a special interests in the clinical management of the older adult to optimize functional abilities and treats a wide array of musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Bonacini thrives in the challenge of the complex patient care.
