Casey Nesbit, PT, DPT, DSc (USCF/SFSU Assistant Professor) was accepted as a Fulbright Specialist for a project in Malawi. The Fulbright Specialist Program, sponsored through the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad. These projects support critical priorities identified by the host institutions and supported by U.S. embassies and binational Fulbright Commissions abroad. Her project in Malawi this summer will be continued evaluation of a rehabilitation training program for community health workers and implementation of a pilot training program in preparation for a project in December 2018.
