Dr. Scheid's areas of expertise include both orthopedics and neurology. She obtained her B.A. from University of California, Berkeley and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Southern California. After she completed her Residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and obtained her board certification in orthopedics, she joined University of Southern California Adjunct Faculty. She later became board certified in neurology and joined the University of California, San Francisco faculty in 2011.

Dr. Scheid strives to help her patients achieve their highest activity level and quality of life. Every rehabilitation program is catered to each patient as each diagnosis is different for everyone. Prevention of future injury is a high priority of her treatments in order to allow her patients to continue to participate in all their activities. Her specialty in both orthopedics and neurology allows her to treat patients with multiple diagnoses with consideration of the different disease and pathological processes.
