Dr. Long graduated in 2009 from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor's of Science in Human Physiology. While completing his undergraduate degree coached the University of Oregon adaptive sports team where he developed an interest in sports performance and physical rehabilitation. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts.

Arthur is a clinical faculty member at UCSF which allows him to combine professional interests of education and clinical care.
