The UCSF Chancellor’s Committee on Disability Issues and the Office of Diversity and Outreach is launching a new film series, "UCSF ReelAbilities," tomorrow with an award-winning film about wheelchair dancers entitield "Dancing Outside the Box." The film will be followed by a discussion moderated by Kimberly Topp, PT, PhD, FAAA and a performance by Axis Dance Company.
Nine first-year DPT students and Associate Clinical Professor Sarah Pawlowsky, PT, DPT, OCS, were recently featured on the San Francisco State University College of Health & Social Sciences website for their participation in the community outreach program, PITCH (Program for Investigation and Training for Careers in Health). Second-year DPT student Emily Gee has created a video for the 2016 California Physical Therapy Association (CPTA) video contest. Her video, called "Alive and Kicking," features Emily doing physical therapy with her 94-year-old grandmother, Arlene, helping her to improve mobility and strength. The video was posted on the CPTA Facebook page for all to see, and you can watch it here! Great job, Emily!
