Congratulations to recent graduates, Allison Alonas and Nylah Hazard (DPT 2018)! In the final year of the UCSF/SFSU program, the students conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis as their culminating project and to provide evidence to guide clinical practice. Allison and Nylah studied "The Effect of Pain Neuroscience Education on Pain Knowledge, Fear Avoidance Beliefs, and Catastrophizing: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis." Allison and Nylah presented their findings at the UCSF/SFSU annual Spring Symposium in March 2018.

Thank you, Raziel Rizzo (DPT 2020) and Elise Tarrant (DPT 2015, and PT Orthopedic Resident Class of 2018), for representing our department and our profession with your informative and inspirational words and photos! This wonderful project was created for the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on Disability Issues, highlighting how one's unique challenges provide perspective on one’s work, shape our lives, and make us better people.
