Drs. Sam Pak and Nina Freitas recently started a one-year clinical trial called the ASPECT Project ( sponsored by SWORD Health. This is a single-center, prospective, randomized controlled study, with two parallel groups, designed to assess the clinical impact of a digital exercise program against conventional rehabilitation for chronic shoulder pain. In addition, we will be comparing clinical outcomes between digital PT and in-person PT in the chronic shoulder population. Thanks to multiple individuals who are involved in this project: Nina Freitas (my co-principle investigator), Ivan Arriaga-Martinez, Alejandra Hernandez, Vincent Ann, Heather Bhide, Rob Matthew, and other co-investigators. Special shout out to Ivan Quesada, Janet O’bryan, Ekahi Casino, Rich Souza for their fantastic support to make this happen.
