The UCSF/SFSU Graduate Program in Physical Therapy (DPT) is the top-ranked public-university program on the west coast and in the top 10% nationally (U.S. News and World Report, by clicking on the link, you will be exiting the UCSF site). We admit 50 students each year and our graduates go on to become scholarly clinicians, educators, collaborative clinical researchers, administrative managers, and leaders in their communities. The program runs for 36 continuous months beginning in June and includes 34 weeks of full-time clinical experiences.

The DPT program seeks scholars who will be able to: successfully navigate the curriculum, including understanding complex and evolving scientific concepts; seek evidence to inform clinical decisions and scientific inquiry; develop and sustain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families; contribute to the efforts of teams as a member or leader; contribute to a positive and enriching learning environment for all members of the class; and serve all communities respect, compassion, and commitment.
