ImmunizationsDPT students providing care to a patient at the Health and Wellness Center

All students are required to submit immunization/titer information in two places:

  • UCSF Student Health & Counseling - the university must review and approve your immunizations to clear you to register for classes
  • CastleBranch (our compliance tracking partner) - your documentation must be fully approved in order to participate in clinical experiences

Although the requirements between the two systems are similar, there are differences between the two. Please note: Castlebranch requires both vaccination AND positive titers. If your titers are NEGATIVE, you will be required to receive boosters and an additional titer. This may take anywhere from 4 weeks to 6 months to complete.

We strongly encourage you to get started on your requirements as soon as possible to avoid delays to your initial clinical experience.
